Latest News Updated On 12 December 2022: A leopard attacked a girl and seriously injured her on Saturday evening in Ukkamad under Chipadohar police station area of Latehar district. He died late night during treatment at Palamu Medical College, Medininagar. Although the villagers claimed that the tiger attacked, but the DFO said that it is visible in the trap camera that the leopard attacked. According to the information, Kiran, the seven-year-old daughter of Vishnu Singh, a resident of Auraiya of Latehar police station, had gone to the house of uncle Dilip Singh. Dilip told that the girl had gone to buy a copy-pen on Saturday evening.

While returning, the leopard attacked the girl. Hearing the noise, people ran and chased away the leopard, after which the girl was taken to Palamu Medical College, where she died late on Saturday night.
