Latest Updated On 24 August 2022: Employees of municipal bodies across the state will be on indefinite strike from August 27. Due to the strike, the government will be responsible for the outcry caused by the piling up of garbage and water supply in the entire state from the Nagar Panchayat to the Municipal Corporation.

These things were said by Bihar State Local Bodies Employees Federation President RN Thakur and General Secretary Shyamlal Prasad in a press release. The leaders said that on the initiative of the federation, a united front of several trade unions operating under the urban body was formed. There were agitations in several phases but nothing happened. Forcibly demonstrated in front of the CM in Patna on August 13, even then the government did not take cognizance. In such a situation, a meeting of the United Front was held on 22 August to fulfill the 11-point demands.
