Latest News Update On 25 September 2022: 5G services will start in the country from 1 October. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch it at India Mobile Congress. This program to be held at Pragati Maidan will continue till 4 October.
Claiming to be the largest telecommunications, media and technology forum in Asia, the India Mobile Congress is organized by the Department of Telecommunications and the Cellular Operators Association of India. Union Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said last week that the government has set a target of 80 per cent coverage of 5G telecom services in the country in a short time frame.
