Latest News Update On 10 September 2022: Approval for the construction of metro between Charbagh to Basatkunj in the capital can be obtained soon.
UP Metro Rail Corporation has submitted the revised DPR to the state government. In the second phase, the proposed 11.165 km. A total of 12 stations will be built in the long East-West corridor. A total of Rs 5034.55 crore will be spent on the construction. This corridor from Charbagh to Basantkunj has been named Blue Line. The approval was given this year and if some work is done, then the metro will start running in this part for the next five years i.e. by 2027. UP Metro has set a time limit of five years for its construction.
12 stations will be built, seven will be underground
According to the revised DPR submitted by the UP Metro Rail Corporation to the government, a total of 12 stations will be built in the much-awaited Charbagh to Basant Kunj corridor, in which seven metro stations will be underground and three stations will be elevated. Two stations will be on the pillar. 5034 crore will be spent.
