Latest News Update On 07 October 2022: Dussehra celebrations in Ramgarh district turned into mourning when an uncontrollable truck trampled 10 people. In this, 5 people died on the spot, while 1 died in the hospital. Four people were seriously injured there.
The incident took place on Wednesday in Hehal village of Barkakana on Ramgarh-Patratu four lane. The police have arrested the truck driver. Angry people blocked the Ramgarh-Patratu road for about seven hours. They were demanding compensation to the victim's family and stop the operation of big vehicles on this route.

A 12 wheeler truck first targeted a bike-borne couple near Danish petrol pump in Barkakana at 3 pm on Wednesday. Aditya Rawani, his wife Priyanka Devi, daughter Priyanshu Kumari alias Durga (03) and son Anurag (06), a resident of Hesalong in Giddi (Hazaribagh), were riding on the bike. Priyanka Devi died on the spot in the accident. Priyanshu also died during treatment. After this, the truck also hit some people standing on the side of the road. In this, Alimun Nisha (49) and Tariq Zamin (01) residents of Hehal and Sajda Khatoon (40) and Sanaul Ansari (24) residents of Rochap Patratu died.
