Latest News Updated 27 March 2023: Bhojpuri film actress Akanksha Dubey hanged herself late Saturday night in a hotel room located in Buddha City Colony (Sarnath). Police arrived on the information of the hotel staff and seized the mobile phone of the 25-year-old actress. The reason of the suicide case is not yet known.
Akanksha Dubey of Parsipur of Chauri (Bhadohi) currently lived in Nalasopara East, Palghar, Mumbai. She reached Varanasi on March 23 with the team for the shooting of the Bhojpuri film 'Layak Hoon Main Nalayak Nahi'. The shooting was to begin in Nati Imli from Sunday.
At 10 am, a call was made on the mobile of team member Rahul staying in the hotel from the set and Akanksha was asked to bring Nati Imli. On this, Rahul rang the doorbell of the actress's room, but got no answer. After this, when the hotel manager opened the room with the master key, the dead body of the actress was found hanging from the fan. ACP Sarnath Gyanprakash Rai arrived with the forensic team. The forensic team has seized the material lying there for investigation.
