Latest News Updated 16 April 2023: Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was attacked with a pipe bomb at a port on Saturday morning. He narrowly survived the attack. The police caught the accused. Kishida was in Wakayama's Saizaki port to cheer on the party's candidate for local elections.
He was about to start the speech when a young man reached there and threw a suspicious object at him. The object did not reach Kishida and as soon as it fell, there was a loud explosion and smoke spread all around.
