On this information, on Sunday, Rajivnagar police station in-charge along with EO of Housing Board arrested 16 owners, contractors and laborers involved in the construction work by raiding Nepalinagar, Jai Prakash Nagar, Chandravihor Colony, Ghurdaur Road and North Nepalinagar. Equipment like construction material, wok, spade, gas cylinder, welding and drilling machine etc. have been seized from their possession.
Rajeevnagar police station in-charge Neeraj Kumar Singh said that a total of 6 FIRs have been registered in this case on behalf of Housing Board EO Ranjit Ranveer Singh, out of which 28 are cases. In this, there is an FIR against 16 named and 12 unknown landlords. A total of 16 named accused arrested from the spot have been arrested. All these accused will be presented in the court on Monday. While interrogating the accused, the absconding land mafia, contractors and landlords are being traced. Housing Board officials say that all those who have been caught were doing illegal forcible construction work. Police and Housing Board team from Chandravihar Colony caught Pradeep Singh, resident of Jalvan district of UP, Inder Paswan of Purnia, Anubhav Kumar Dubey, resident of West Champaran.
Shribabu Singh Tyagi, a resident of Rajiv Nagar, who is doing the construction work east from the SSB camp in Dhudaur Road, Abdul Rehman, a resident of West Champaran, Bijli Singh, a resident of Saran, Sunder Kumar, a resident of Nakta Diara, Manoj Kumar, a resident of Paliganj, Rakesh Rajwar, a resident of Arwal, Omprakash, a resident of Danapur, Munna. Kumar, Jamui resident Sakaldev Yadav was arrested. Sunil Kumar and Anil Kumar, residents of Patliputra Colony, were caught from Jaiprakash Nagar road number three in the raid. Jaglal Choudhary, a resident of Motihari, was arrested from North Nepali Nagar. Rajeev Kumar, a resident of Sultanganj Tikia Toli, was arrested from Jaiprakash Nagar road number one.
