Latest Updated On 19/09/2022: An incentive amount of 25-25 thousand will soon be sent by the government to the account of unmarried daughters who have passed graduation in the state. For this, the Education Department has approved the amount as well as released the money.
In the financial year 2022-23, under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana, information about providing Rs 35 crore for the Chief Minister's Girl Child (Graduation) Incentive Scheme has also been given to the Accountant General, Bihar. It may be mentioned that in the financial year 2022-23, a budgetary provision of Rs.250 crore is available for providing incentive to girls for the Chief Minister's Girl Child (Graduation) Protsahan Yojana under Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana.
In the light of this, Rs 35 crore has been provided to 14000 girl students to send Rs 25 thousand per student to their account. Withdrawal of money will be done as soon as the allotment application is issued. The Education Department has clearly stated in the approval order that this amount (deviation) will not be used for any other item.
