The research team of IIT ISM has developed a hybrid wireless charging system to overcome this problem of electric vehicles. This research is expected to revolutionize the field of electric vehicles. Patent has been applied for in this regard on behalf of the Institute. This project is worth 10 lakhs. The team consists of five teachers and two students. Among them Prof. Nitai Pal, Prof. Karthik Chandra Jana, Arjit Baral, Prof. Anirban Ghoshal, Anik Goswami, Sonal Mishra. Hybrid wireless charging has been tested at the laboratory level. It will do electric charging through the power grid, renewable sources of energy including solar and wind power. The car will also have an electric coil. Will transfer power by coming in contact with the vehicle. After that the charging process will start. During the day, it will be charged through sunlight i.e. solar energy and at night through electricity grid.
Can refund excess charge The important thing is that you can return the excess charge to the grid when there is an overcharge. You can get power credit by returning it. This can later be used to charge the electric vehicle. He said that the transfer of excess power by the vehicle to the power grid can take place only when the vehicle is in motion. This wireless charging system is also revolutionary in that it will reduce the size of the battery. This will bring down the price.
