The father suspected that his wife was having an illicit relationship with someone else. The girl suffered 80 percent burns in the incident. He has been admitted to RIMS, where his condition remains critical.
Police have arrested the accused. SDPO said that the accused Pappu Turi reached home on Friday evening under the influence of alcohol and started quarreling with his wife. The wife ran outside after saving her life. Then in anger Pappu burnt the daughter by pouring kerosene. The girl's mother told that her husband had run to kill him with a knife. She ran for her life. After this the husband sprinkled kerosene on the daughter and set her on fire.
