Latest News Update On 30 October 2022: Inter student Basanti Soren (18) died due to drowning in the pond of Marungdungri village of Nirsa. Police has sent the body to Dhanbad for post-mortem. The mother of the deceased student told that Basanti had gone to the pond to wash the dishes. When she did not return even after a long time, she went to the pond to find her. It was found that she had drowned in the pond. After sometime his body was pulled out from the pond with the help of local people. The girl's father and brother have already died. The women here depend on the pond for washing utensils and clothes.
