Latest News Update On 20 November 2022: On Friday, two loco pilots of a goods train were crushed to death by a train in the yard of Rajkharsawan railway station of Chakradharpur railway division. The incident took place at 12.18 pm. Deceased DK Sahana and Mohd. Officer Alam was posted in Chakradharpur Railway Division only. The incident took place when the speeding Mumbai-Howrah Express rammed into the goods train during monitoring after changing its engine. The dead bodies of both the employees were sent to their native place. Bankura of Sahana West Bengal and Mohd. The officer was a resident of Burnpur. Railway has constituted a committee to investigate the incident.
The bodies reached Chakradharpur late at night. The bodies of both the drivers were brought to Chakradharpur late at night. After getting information about the incident in the morning, DRM AJ Rathod, Senior DPO and CMS Dr. SK Mishra reached Railway Hospital and sent the dead bodies to Chakradharpur Railway Hospital for postmortem.

According to the train's loco pilot J Murmu and ALP PK Mahato, the distance was just 100 meters when they saw two people crossing the track. Emergency brake was also applied, but by the time the train stopped, both his colleagues had lost their lives in its grip. The incident took place at pole number 291/9-11. On reaching Chakradharpur station, the full details of the incident were given to Deputy SS at 110 pm.
After the accident, the DRM of Chakradharpur has asked to organize a seminar regarding the safety of the guard and the driver in all the crew lawies of the division. With this, guards and drivers can be made aware along with training about their safety. Following the order of the DRM, several guard and crew lobbies of the division have organized a tribute meeting as well as a safety seminar on Saturday.
ADRM will lead the investigation team DRM AJ Rathore has formed an investigation team to investigate the death of two loco pilots. ADRM Vinay Kujur will lead this team. The team has been asked to submit the report very soon.
