Breaking News: No bill has to be paid on consumption of 100 units of electricity in Dhanbad Jharkhand
Latest News Updated 22 November 2022: In Dhanbad circle, more than 50,000 consumers are taking advantage of subsidy by consuming less than 100 units of electricity, while at present there are 2,60,000 electricity consumers across the district. Checking of meters of consumers availing subsidy will be started from Tuesday. For this, the GM of the department, Harendra Kumar Singh, has ordered 25 JEs, 20-20 assistant and executive engineers to investigate and submit the report. The GM gave this order in a meeting with JE, Assistant and Executive Engineer, Superintending Engineer and Energy friends of GM Dhanbad Circle in the Area Board on Monday.
It was told in the meeting that this time only 10 units of electricity have been availed in some consumers and 20 units in others. This completely enraged the GM and reprimanded Urja Mitras. He said that such a small unit of electricity cannot be raised. Urja Mitra should prepare the bill correctly, otherwise action will be taken if caught making mistakes while preparing the bill.
Consumers who have got black meter installed. Those people should remove themselves within a week otherwise they will be removed from the department. At present, this meter has been installed in more than two thousand houses in Dhanbad circle. Urja Mitras were ordered to make a list of black meters and hand it over to the department.
There will be an FIR against those who take two lines
The issue raised in the meeting was that people living in BCCL area have taken double connection in their house. There is a connection of JBVNL and BCCL. Due to this reason there is a possibility of accident. Such consumers are mainly living in BCCL area including Kendua, Karkend, Jharia and Bhuli. It was said that such consumers should remove a connection themselves, otherwise if caught by the department, a case will be filed against them.
