Madrasas of UP will get recognition after 7 years latest news update 2022
Latest News Updated 31 December 2022: The state government is preparing to gift recognition to thousands of unrecognized madrassas in the new year. After about seven years, unrecognized madrassas will get recognition in the state. In the year 2015, the then Akhilesh government had given government recognition to about 1500 madrassas. At present, there are about 16000 recognized madrassas in the state.

Recently, the state government had conducted a survey of unrecognized madrassas, in which a total of 5,840 madrassas were found unrecognised. Now all the details of these madrasas are being compiled and it is being investigated. Out of these, those madrassas who apply for recognition will be given recognition on the basis of fixed standards. Not only this, the financial sources of Madrasas will also be investigated.
Madrasa Education Council Chairman Dr. Iftekhar Javed said that Minority Welfare Minister Dharampal Singh had held a review meeting with the officials about the progress of work. In it, he has given instructions to identify such madrasas whose financial sources are doubtful or not completely clear.
