Latest News Updated 28 January 2023: A person has threatened to kill Bishan Singh Chuphal, former state president of BJP and MLA from Didhat, by sending an SMS. Using cruel words, he has threatened to cut them like carrot, radish through SMS. On the complaint of the MLA, the pithoragarh police have registered the report.

MLA Chuphal has said that he received an SMS on 21 January threatening to kill him. Chuphal has sent a letter to SP Lokeshwar Singh on 24 January demanding action in this matter. Superintendent of Police Lokeshwar Singh said that after receiving a complaint letter from MLA Chuphal, a report has been promptly registered in the matter. Action has been ordered in the matter. Chufal has said that Anil Kapri, a resident of local Khoona village, threatened to kill him by SMS.
