Latest News Update 18 March 2023: Three people who were crossing the railway track at Gomoh railway station were mowed down by the Up Howrah Rajdhani Express on Friday night. The bodies of all three were completely mutilated after coming under the grip of the train. There was difficulty in identifying the dead body. The bodies of all three were wrapped in plastic. Till the filing of this report, the police could not identify the killed people.
According to the information, the Howrah-Rajdhani Express was passing through Gomo on Friday night at 8.25 pm. Meanwhile, Up Asansol EMU passenger train was coming to Gomo on platform number four. Meanwhile, a goods train also started from platform number two. Eyewitnesses said that three people were crossing the tracks after getting down from the EMU passenger train at Gomo platform, when all three came under the grip of Howrah Rajdhani Express coming from Dhanbad side.
After the incident, there was chaos among the passengers at Gomoh railway station. Here, the dead body was scattered far and wide on the railway line. On information Gomo GRP and RPF reached the spot. Local CYM BC Mandal and other office bearers also reached. Gomo GRP has collected all the three dead bodies and taken them in possession. Efforts are on to identify all three. At the moment, the police were claiming the identity of one, but the complete identity is yet to be ascertained.
