Latest Updated On 17/09/2022: The Supreme Court has given time till 15 December to the Center to implement the 'One Rank-One Pension' scheme. The government had told the court that re-fixation of pension is a "time-consuming" process. After this the court has provided the time.
In June, the government was given three months' time, now again sought
The Center had sought an extension of three months in June, just before the deadline set by the Supreme Court in its March 16 verdict approving the scheme. At that time a bench of Justice Dhananjay Y Chandrachud and Justice Hima Kohli had accepted the Centre's application. The Center had then said that some progress had been made since the order was passed. The Center assured the bench that the government was taking serious steps to comply with the court's directions.
