Latest News Updated 02 December 2022: The CBI is tightening its noose against the suspended branch manager of Dumka Shikaripada SBI, Manoj Kumar, involved in a Rs 2.5 crore scam. CBI raided two places of Manoj Kumar. Manoj's immense wealth has been revealed from here. The CBI team also conducted investigation at Giridih Regional Branch.
The CBI team raided Manoj's residence at Patna's Rukanpura Bailey Road, besides the residence at Mahavir Colony near Beur Jail in Patna. A huge amount of cash, jewelery and documents have been found from the residence of Mahavir Colony. The CBI sealed both the residences. On November 21, the Anti-Corruption Branch of the Dhanbad CBI had registered an FIR against Manoj Kumar. On the complaint of Dumka SBI Regional Manager Nityesh Anand, the CBI had registered an FIR against him.
Where and how much did you confuse
Manoj Kumar was posted in a total of four branches from 21 February 2014 to 23 February 2018. From 23 February 2018 to 1 August 2018, he stayed in Fulbanga branch of Sahibganj and embezzled Rs 89 lakh 90 thousand 400. Stayed in Barhait Bazar Branch from 25 July 2016 to 22 February 2018 and embezzled Rs 1 crore 5 lakh 9 thousand 100. Similarly, the personal banking branch stayed in Sahibganj from 22 February 2014 to 24 July 2016 and defrauded Rs 49 lakh 6 thousand 755. From March 31, 2013 to February 21, 2014, a mess of Rs 4 lakh 71 thousand was made in Sahibganj branch.
Withdrawals from 440 accounts
In the internal investigation, it has been found that Manoj made fraudulent withdrawals from 440 accounts. Money was transferred from these accounts to other accounts and the amount was withdrawn. Violating the rules, passed fake loans without documents and grabbed the amount. These accounts include savings account, cash credit account, KCC account, pension account.
